Andrej graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2015, with a dissertation on Zero Waste Grocery Retail. After returning home, he co-founded the organisation Zero waste Žalec, aiming to bring sustainable change on the ground. Andrej is also an urban gardener, working on aquaponics, and an independent researcher on topics such as sociology, ecology, resilience and circular economy. He is a project leader in a two-person team, which won the New European Bauhaus prize (Rising stars) for their idea, Zero waste House: Towards circular commons.
