Zero waste Live!

A conversation on waste incineration in Ukraine

25th May 2020 · 2:00 AM (CET)

Watch now

We joined forces with our member OZERO and the Zero Waste Alliance Ukraine to shine a spotlight on the problem of waste incineration in Ukraine.

The conversation focuses on:

  • What types of waste are currently burned?
  • What are the effects of waste incineration on our health, climate and the economy?
  • Is “safe incineration” possible?
  • Why do Waste-to-Energy plants still operate across Europe if they’re not safe?
  • What should people do with their waste instead of burning it in Ukraine? Best practices of zero waste cities across Europe.
