Has COVID-19 changed zero waste?

17th November 2020 · Live! Webinar Speakers Presentations

The COVID-19 pandemic has completely transformed society and our everyday lifestyles. As we continue to adjust to the realities of managing the pandemic, this webinar will examine whether the COVID-19 crisis has had any long-term impacts on how we design and implement zero waste solutions, both today and in the future.

This webinar will go into greater depth to answer these key questions:

  • What can we do to prevent a sustained increase in the use of single-use products?
  • How can we combat the push by the plastics industry for greater single-use products?
  • What examples exist of reusable solutions to some of the most problematic and consistent single-use items?
  • In the longer-term, how does a zero waste approach ensure the achievement of circular economy goals, whilst continuing to meet the necessary high standards of health and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic?
